Download iloveframes.
Pick your computer. Setup takes about a minute, and we'll walk you through it.
macOS
Not sure which Mac you have? Apple menu → About This Mac. "Chip: Apple M…" means Apple Silicon.
Now, let's set it up.
iloveframes is made by an independent maker and isn't signed with a paid Apple or Microsoft certificate yet, so your computer asks once before opening it. Here's exactly what to click.
Open the installer
Find iloveframes-1.0.0-Setup.exe in your Downloads and double-click it.
If your browser says the file "isn't commonly downloaded", choose … then Keep. That's normal for a new app.
Click "More info"
A blue window titled Windows protected your PC appears. Click the small More info link under the message.
This is Microsoft SmartScreen. It shows for any app that doesn't have a paid signing certificate yet.
Click "Run anyway"
You'll now see the app name and a Run anyway button at the bottom. Click it.
You only do this once. Updates install on their own after this.

Install and start recording
Pick a folder (the default is fine), click Install, and iloveframes opens. Your 24-hour trial starts now, and you'll find it in the Start menu and on your desktop.
Drag it into Applications
Open the .dmg from your Downloads. In the window that appears, drag iloveframes onto the Applications folder.
Open it once, then click "Done"
Open iloveframes from Applications. macOS says it can't verify the app. Click Done (don't move it to the Bin).
On macOS 14 or older you can skip ahead: right-click the app, choose Open, then Open again.
Choose "Open Anyway"
Open System Settings → Privacy & Security and scroll down. Next to "iloveframes was blocked", click Open Anyway, then confirm with your password or Touch ID.
You only do this once. From then on it opens like any other app.
Let it see your screen
When asked, allow Screen Recording and Accessibility for iloveframes (the second one lets it follow your clicks for smart zooms). Allow Camera and Microphone only if you want them.
After allowing Screen Recording, macOS may ask you to quit and reopen the app. That's expected.
Only if it says "damaged"
Some Macs say the app "is damaged and can't be opened". It isn't: that's macOS being cautious about downloaded apps. Open Terminal, paste this, press Return, then open iloveframes again.
